Up and Atom-Page 0
In case you don't know just how tiny things get,
I got us a ruler; it's small you can bet.
The ruler can measure a quantum or so.
But what is a quantum? I'd sure like to know.
A quantum is certainly not like a whale.
It's small like a dot or an ant's finger nail.
The ruler I bought from a guy that I know.
A quantum mechanic. He couldn't say no.
This nursery rhyme introduces the electron and shows how protons, neutrons and electrons make up atoms. Then it shows how atoms become molecules and how water appears.
